“Why I Give,” an Essay by John Ranelli

In a first-person donor essay told to Massachusetts General Hospital, John shares how cancer has affected his family, and how their experiences inspired he and his wife, Ashley, to start the John and Ashley Ranelli Cancer Innovation Scholar™ fund.

John explains in the article, “If our family can play a part in bringing together the finest hospital in cancer care and the brightest scientific minds directly to patients, when they are overwhelmed by a diagnosis and desperately seeking answers, that would truly be an extraordinary achievement we will be proud of.”
