He has repositioned and grown classic American brands; pivoted international consumer goods companies toward more profitable markets; led aggressive acquisition efforts; and restored the confidence of employees, consumers, and Wall Street analysts.

Notably, he has been the driving force behind strategies and tactical action plans that elevated stock value to new heights and delivered high multiples to investors when a company was sold.

John has served on the Board of Directors of 7 public, private, and private equity-owned companies. In several instances, he has been tapped by fellow Board members to assume the CEO role to lead the company toward a new direction. Recent highlights include his roles as Board Member/CEO of Central Garden & Pet (where he quadrupled the stock price) and Chairman of the Board/CEO of Woolrich, Inc. (where he increased the share price by 2.5 times).

Currently, John remains on the Board of Directors of Central Garden & Pet and also serves as Board Director for OrthoLite Holdings, LLC, and Member of the Advisory Board of the global private equity firm Trilantic Capital Partners.
